On July 24, every student who has completed the readings can turn their bookmark in at Cardines Field to attend the Newport Gulls game against the North Shore Navigators for free as it is People’s Credit Union FANatic About Reading Night. In addition to getting in free to the game, the students will also be honored on the field during the pre-game ceremony. 
 
Newport Gulls players were at Coggeshall and Cranston Calvert schools on Monday June 1 as day one of this event. There will be Gulls players at Carey and Underwood schools on June 3. On June 8, the Newport Gulls players will be Elmhurst and Hathaway schools. Newport Gulls players will then be at Aquidneck and Forest Avenue schools on June 9. On June 10, the Gulls players will be at JFK Elementary and Sullivan School. The
Gulls will end their tour of schools with Melville on June 15.  Overall, the Newport Gulls will read to over 3,000 students in 149 classrooms on Aquidneck Island.
