Michael Jackson...a shock!
I was shocked when I heard the news about Micheal Jackson's passing! Although he became quite strange and reclusive in most recent years, I am flooded with memories of his music from my childhood...and even now when out at a bar or a wedding many people (myself included) get excited and dance to Jackson's music. I still remember "Thriller" being one of the 1st videos I ever saw on MTV. At his peak he was called "the king of pop" and could moonwalk like no other. Unfortunately, his talent was shadowed by an addiction to plastic surgeries and eccentric behavior. I had not thought much about him in a long time however throughout the evening I have seen and heard clips of many of his songs reminding me of why although no longer the king, to me his talent will surely never be forgotten...think ABC, Beat It, Don't Stop til You Get Enough, Thriller, Wanna Be Startin Something, Billie Jean, and Man in the Mirror! Do you think any of our children will know what the moonwalk is? |
