Three Years Later - Time to Lose the "Baby Weight" - Part 2

Well, I am halfway to my goal, but about 2 and a half weeks behind schedule.  I am hoping to reach it by fourth of July - just in time for summer!  I have had a few setbacks along the way with girls weekend, birthday parties, and wine.  But I did have fun!  Tom has certainly stepped it up a notch and for the most part I have been better on the nutrition side.  Although I still love that occasional pizza splurge with my kids!

Friday May 21st
Weigh in time!  Wow, I am actually excited to go today.  I can fit in pants I have not worn in quite a while and have moved down two holes on my belt.  I am actually starting to get definition in my arms.  I am really getting there.  Success...About 10 lbs down and 10 to go!!  Thanks to my momstown friends who have come to work out with me.  (They loved it by the way!)  Send me an email if you'd like to come join me for my Monday workout with Tom!  I would love the support!

Saturday May 22nd and Sunday May 23rd
I tried to work out a little extra this weekend since I could not pass up birthday cake for my son's 9th birthday (and a friends daughter's 5th birthday too).  I cannot believe how there really is a grand excuse every weekend.  I have not had a weekend without something special since I began writing this.  I am sure you are all the same.  Maybe our metabolisms really don't slow down as we age, our lives just get crazier!  HA!

Monday May 24th
Did someone tell Tom?  You know you are in trouble when your trainer says, "I am sorry about tonight's workout!"  I worked out with Shirley and another MomsTown friend Sue tonight.  It was neat to see how Tom challenged each of us despite our different levels of fitness.  Sue had never really even used weights before!  Somehow, I have become "advanced" in all of this!  My workout was tough, but I actually loved it.  I stayed motivated by thinking about how much cake I needed to burn off!  When you realize how hard you have to work to burn so few calories, the cake really is not worth it!

Tuesday May 25th
A day off!  Ahh!

Wednesday May 26th
We lost power here for about 2 hours!  It was the perfect time to go for a run.  My husband was away for work, so I asked my teenage neighbor to come over for a half hour while I ran.  I did not have time to head to the gym, but it was a great way to get in a quick workout while the kids had a blast playing with Maddie!  Using a neighborhood teen is a great way to get a quick moment to yourself!  Even though it was only a half hour, I came back energized and ready to have a great time with my children.  Give it a try!

Thursday May 27th
Today, I went to Scince Day at my son's school.  Does doing about 50 squats to lift hula hoop bubbles over kids and pumping bike pumps to shoot rockets in the playground count as exercise?  I am thinking, YES!  I need to write my newsletter, so it will have to count for now!

I am hoping for a big weekend!  I have my college reunion next weekend and would really love to wear those jeans!!
