February 12-21 - Newport Winter Festival
Activities throughout the week include 2 day children's fair, pizza cook off, children's entertainers and more!

February 15-19 "Flip Out" with Envy Gymnastics
Many great individual 1 hour clinics throughout the week - bouncing, balance beam, tumbling, and more!   Free open play Mon, Wed, and Friday from 10-12.  On Monday, open play includes a visit from Ariel, Tinkerbell, and CinderellaClick here for schedule.


February 16-19, 9am-3:30pm - Newport Art Museum Art Camp
Children will create their own original artwork and exhibit it to family and friends on the last day of art camp.  They will draw, paint, create collage and assemble sculptures while exploring themes found in the Museum including mythological animals, American folk art and portraiture from the past to the present.  Children should bring lunch, drinks and snacks.  On Friday, Feb. 19 at 3pm there will be an art show for family and friends.

Ages 8-10 years
Children will develop digital and computer skills while exploring the art of photography. Bring a simple digital camera and a 100% cotton tee shirt to print on.

Students will pursue individually chosen themes to explore visually with their cameras. They will digitally alter and enhance their images to arrange them in a portfolio format. Bring your camera and thumb drive.

February 16, 17 & 18 - Potter League for Animals
Camp Happy Tails is Going Wild!  Join us for a three day trek to Tanzania to study African Elephants, to St. Croix, Virgin Islands to participate in an expedition to save the leatherback sea turtle, and to our own backyard to study the coyote.  This amazing “stay-cation” during school vacation week is offered to two age groups:
Children in grades 2 and 3  - 9 AM - 12 Noon
Children in grades 4, 5, and 6  - 1 PM - 4 PM

February 15-19 - Nature-ology - Norman Bird Sanctuary 
Prepare to get messy in this fun-filled week of camp! We'll go behind the scenes as we study the science of the great outdoors. Each day will feature a new "-ology" and hands-on experiments, crafts, animal presentations, and games.

February 15-19 - Buttonwood Park Zoo Cabin Fever Week

Join our animals Monday through Friday for some winter fun! We’ll have a different entertainer and surprise craft every day of February Vacation. Crafts and entertainment are free with Zoo admission.  Monday will feature the Toe Jam Puppet Band at 10:30 AM and 12:30 PM.  Tuesday through Friday will feature entertainment at 11:00 AM each day.  Schedule will be posted to website soon!


February 16 - 19 - Roger Williams Winter ZooCamp
Brrr... New England winters can be cold! Instead of keeping the kids inside during February school vacation, send them to an interactive four-day camp! Winter ZooCamp at Roger Williams Park Zoo will engage your child in a full day of crafts, activities, animal interviews and even bundled-up tours of the Zoo! 
2010 Theme: "Jungle Journey." 
We’ll explore the four layers of tropical rain forests, the animals that live there and how they survive.  Friday afternoon will feature a Jungle Jam in a rain forest built by ZooCampers out of recycled materials throughout the week.   
Camp hours 8:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.   Extended day also available.
