At dusk over Newport Harbor. The fireworks can be seen all along the waterfront from Fort Adams, King Park (Wellington Ave) to Battery Park (Washington St).
Portsmouth - Escobar's Fireworks
9:30pm Escobar Farm Middle Road in Portsmouth. Mr. Escobar does this fireworks display for all to enjoy, donations are accepted in the container out front of the farm (133 Middle Rd).

Drum & Bugle Corps Competition, Bristol
This competition is one the highlights of the Bristol Fourth of July Celebration. It has grown to become one of the finest competitions, featuring top Drum and Bugle Corps from the United States and Canada. Mount Hope High School, 199 Chestnut Street.
Ticket Booth opens at 4 p.m.; gates open at 5 p.m.; competition at 7 p.m. Cost: Lawn seats, $10; bleacher seats. $20-$25.

21-Gun Salute, Newport, Noon
In honor of our country's birthday the Newport Artillery Company will fire a 21-gun salute using four brass cannon purchased from Paul Revere in the 1790s. Afterward the company's museum at 23 Clark Street will be open for tours. Eisenhower Park, Washington Square - 12Noon

Fourth of July Parade, Bristol
This July 4th parade, reputed to be the oldest in the country, will begin at 10:30 a.m. and will step off at the corner of Chestnut Street and Hope Street / Route 114 and end on High Street between State Street and Bradford Street. Various surrounding streets will be closed off beginning at 8 a.m., including Poppasquash Road. Chestnut Street, Naomi Street, and Sherry Avenue will be close to traffic at 7 a.m.
Rose Island Lighthouse Anniversary Celebration, Newport
An unforgettable evening of great music and food. Bring your appetite and your favorite lawn chair or blanket and settle in under the stars to watch the Newport Fireworks from Rose Island. The New Era Jazz Band: 7:00 - 9:00 p.m.
An evening of Big Band music modeled after the big band sound of band greats such as Doc Severinson, Maynard Ferguson, Glenn Miller, and Harry James, to name several. The seventeen piece orchestra is comprised of musicians from Rhode Island and Massachusetts and features music by Frank Sinatra, Michael Buble, and numerous other entertainers from the Big Band Era.

The Navy Band Northeast: 7:00 - 9:15 p.m.
One of thirteen official bands of the United States Navy, this band serves as the ambassador for the Commander, Navy Region Northeast, and is comprised of 45 professional Navy musicians.

Detroit Breakdown Band: 6:30 - 7:30 p.m.
The Detroit Breakdown Band is a long awaited project that includes members of some of the top bands in this area. Paul Petit, a singer and harmonica player for thirty years in bands such as Shot In the Dark and the Mill City Rockers, is the lead vocalist and is an avid fan of the J. Geils Band. He brings the old school songs of the classic era from Stevie Ray Vaughn, Joe Cocker, Eric Clapton, and the Allman Brothers, to the modern stage.

The Bristol Senior Citizens Chorus will perform a one hour program that will include selections from Broadway Shows, Famous Composers, Popular Entertainers, and Patriotic Compositions.
The United States Air Force Band of Liberty: 7:45 - 9:15 p.m.
This world class symphonic wind ensemble presents a wide variety of repertoire from light classics, popular favorites and instrumental features, to classical transcriptions and original works for the band idiom. Its members represent the best-of-the-best musical talent and education within the Air Force.

Changes In Latitudes: 7:00 - 9:15 p.m.
At 7:00 p.m. a show will be presented that honors singer songwriter Jimmy Buffett, the master of the tropical lifestyle. Every show is good clean fun to be enjoyed by the whole family. With beach balls flying, dancing conga lines, and leis galore, and a unique tropical stage setup, Changes In Latitudes recreates the Buffett Concert experience with amazing authenticity. The band’s original material is frequently featured on Jimmy Buffet’s “Radio Margaritaville” as well as on Sirius Satellite Radio and numerous FM Stations. Prepare yourself for a “Latitude Adjustment”, get out your grass skirts and Hawaiian shirts and head for the tropics with Changes In Latitudes.

Patterson/Smith Trio: 6:30 - 7:30 p.m.
Immediately following the National Anthem we begin an evening of Jazz, Swing, and Rhythm and Blues beginning with the smooth styling’s of The Patterson Smith Trio with a Guest Appearance by Evie Lavey. Jazz interpretations of cool music will be accompanied by a vocal performance of popular standards. The members of Patterson Smith have extensive performance experience in a variety of musical genres and have been performing for many years throughout the East. Formally trained at Berklee College, Nick Smith exhibits a very fluid guitar style that is supported by the solid bass and drums foundation of Ken and Alan Patterson, complimented by the vocals of Evie Lavey, trained by the New York Conservatory of Music’s Voice Instructor Alice Hanna. Sit back, listen, and enjoy!
Bellevue Cadillac: 7:45 - 9:15 p.m.
For those who like Swing, punctuated with Jazz and Blues, Bellevue Cadillac at 8:00 PM will make your heart thump and attitude come alive. Their music has been on The Sopranos, Access Hollywood, Sex and The City, and in the Movie Shallow Hal. They have appeared with Bill Murray, Jack Nicholson, Aerosmith, Ray Charles, James Brown, and on and on. Fronted by “Professor” Doug Bell, this eight piece band is comprised of musicians’ musicians. Whether it’s a “cover” of someone else’s material or their own, your senses will be stimulated by what you see and hear.

Bristol County Interfaith Choir: 6:30 - 7:30 p.m.
Bristol County Interfaith Choir was founded by members of a church choir who wanted to do more than the weekly service demanded. Today 10 communities in Rhode Island and nearby Massachusetts are represented, not all of whom are choir singers. They are in effect a community chorus. The Founder/Director is Joan Roth.
Kings Row: 8:00 - 9:30 p.m.
The final show is being performed by New England’s #1 Oldies Band – King’s Row.
