The Sachuest Point National Wildlife Refuge will be hosting its annual Take Me Fishing Day. Come join the fun and try your skills at tying knots, baiting, casting, fish painting and more!
This fun-filled family event will include: loaner poles, two surf fishing clinics (starting at 10:30am and 1:00pm), casting and baiting demonstrations, children's activities and fun handouts. The first 108 youth receive a free mini tackle box in honor of the 108th Anniversary of the National Wildlife Refuge System.
This event is co-sponsored by the U. S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management, Friends of the National Wildlife Refuges of Rhode Island and Quonnie Bait and Tackle.
